Investments in Central Europe and South East Asia
Founded in 1991, Bahia Kft. is a privately held family investment company based in Budapest, led by managing directors Rita Gergely and Péter Fajta.
For more than three decades, Bahia has built a strong track record in investing in and managing real estate assets across Hungary and Southeast Asia. Our portfolio includes landmark projects such as Szigliget Várudvar, residential developments in Seminyak (Bali) and Ubud, as well as numerous long-term property investments in Budapest and around Lake Balaton. Bahia currently manages approximately $4 million in assets.
Bahia is now expanding its investment horizon. While real estate remains a stable foundation of our activities, we are broadening our focus to invest in technology, innovation, and high-growth ventures. Our most recent investment is in JaPi AI, an emerging AI-powered education and corporate-training platform poised to transform learning across Southeast Asia.
Bahia continues to pursue opportunities that combine sustainable value creation with long-term vision—investing in projects and companies that shape the future.
Crafting investments that shape landscapes and futures.
Szigliget Várudvar is one of Bahia’s signature cultural-heritage investments near Lake Balaton. Set beneath the historic Szigliget Castle—with its stunning panoramic view of the lake—under Bahia’s management the estate has become a vibrant centre for arts, performances, and community life, complemented by a world-class restaurant and cultural programs.
Years before the Bali property boom began, Bahia was already identifying and investing in strategically located land and some of the island’s real estate gems.
Bahia’s portfolio also includes several other real estate investments in Budapest and across the Lake Balaton area.
Bahia is now broadening its investment horizon beyond real estate to include technology, innovation, and high-growth ventures. Our latest investment, JaPi AI, is redefining education and workforce training across Southeast Asia. We are aligned with JaPi’s mission to harness AI to bridge the educational opportunity gap for millions of Indonesians.
